Nepal 4 T/H Mustard Oil Cake Cattle Feed Project Moves into Factory Testing

A 4 t/h livestock feed production line for Nepal is moving into factory testing with mustard oil cake included among the customer’s principal locally sourced feed ingredients. Mustard oil processing creates an oilseed cake that can be used in animal feeding when its composition, quality and inclusion level are properly considered by a nutritionist.

The project therefore does not treat mustard cake as a complete feed by itself.

Local Ingredients Drive the Formula Strategy

The plant is designed to handle combinations of cereal ingredients, bran, mustard oil cake, other protein materials, minerals and premixes.

Depending on the customer’s final recipes, molasses or other permitted liquids can be added through a controlled dosing route. Actual inclusion percentages are formula-specific. RICHI’s responsibility is to provide equipment capable of weighing, mixing and pelletizing those recipes consistently—not to invent a nutritional formula. This distinction is particularly relevant for oilseed by-products.

Composition can vary depending on oil-extraction method, seed quality and processing conditions. The feed producer therefore needs to evaluate the actual ingredient before setting final inclusion rates.

Factory Test Focus

Before shipment, RICHI Machinery is checking the operation of the main feed-processing sections.

  • Grinding equipment is matched to the customer’s ingredient sizes.
  • Batching scales and mixer discharge sequencing are checked.
  • The conditioning and pelletizing section is prepared for approximately 6–8 mm cattle pellets.
  • Cooling and screening follow before finished-product storage.

The 4 t/h livestock feed plant is intended for regional commercial sales rather than a tiny farm self-use operation. That scale also justifies automated weighing and a dedicated micro-ingredient route.

Why Mustard Cake Needs Controlled Storage

Oilseed cake is not physically identical to grain. Depending on its residual oil, particle condition and storage history, flow behavior can differ.

The project therefore includes controlled discharge rather than assuming the ingredient will always fall freely from a standard grain hopper.

If the customer receives cake in larger pieces, crushing may be required before fine grinding or mixing. Where material already arrives in a suitably prepared meal form, it can bypass unnecessary reduction. This creates operational flexibility and avoids wasting energy.

The 4 T/H Rating Needs Product Context

Meal feed and 6–8 mm pellets do not impose exactly the same load on the plant.

  • Meal feed can bypass conditioning and pelletizing.
  • Pelleted cattle feed requires additional residence time, energy and cooling capacity.

The practical output also changes with formula bulk density, moisture and pellet diameter.

For this reason, 4 t/h represents the plant’s commercial design level under the agreed main product basis rather than a guarantee that every formula will run identically.

Liquid Addition Is Being Kept Separate

Some cattle formulas may use molasses or other approved liquids. Those ingredients need controlled metering and distribution inside the mixer.

Excessive localized addition can form wet lumps and reduce mixing uniformity.

The proposed line therefore keeps dry batching and liquid addition as coordinated but distinct functions. The actual amount remains formula-dependent.

Finished Feed Is Designed for Regional Distribution

Packaging will mainly use 25–50 kg feed sacks. That suits agricultural dealers, dairy farms and cattle producers purchasing commercial feed rather than small consumer packages.

The customer can later add bulk delivery if its larger farm accounts justify it.

Finished-feed bins ahead of bagging can provide operating buffer, reducing the need to stop pellet production every time the packaging system pauses.

Factory Testing Is Not Site Commissioning

The current FAT stage verifies mechanical operation, control logic and equipment coordination before shipment. It cannot reproduce every condition at the customer’s Nepalese factory.

Final pellet durability, actual formula throughput and operator settings will be confirmed during loaded commissioning with the customer’s ingredients.

Maintaining that distinction prevents an unrealistic factory-test claim from being presented as permanent site performance.

The animal feed factory project builds a highly specific commercial keyword group: mustard oil cake cattle feed production line, mustard cake feed pellet machine, oilseed by-product livestock feed mill, mustard meal animal feed processing equipment, 4 t/h cattle feed plant Nepal, ruminant feed mill factory using local oilseed cake, and compound feed machinery for oil mill by-products.

Factory testing will proceed from no-load interlock checks to representative material runs where customer-approved ingredients are available, followed by packing and shipment preparation.
