Debarker system

This is where the wet raw material (wood logs) stored into warehouses, is loaded into the cross chain feeder.

Chipper system

The wet raw material (wood logs) stored into the second cross chain feeder, it is loaded into the chipper machine by a belt conveyor complete with a metal detector. Chipping process reduces the granulometry of raw material in order to have available size for hammer milling process.

Hammer milling system

The raw material (wood chips) stored into warehouses or it is loaded into the hammer mill by loading hopper. Wet milling process reduces the granulometry of raw material in order to have available size for the drying process.

Drying system

The wet raw material (sawdust and/or wood chips) stored into warehouses or coming from wet hammer mill, is loaded into the dryer loading hopper. The drying process evaporates the water contained in the wet raw material up to the moisture content suitable for the pelletizing process. It consists in investing and continuously crossing the material with hot air for a certain period of time. The air is heated by a solid fuel combustor (biomass) or by using the thermal energy supplied by the adjacent cogeneration plant or biomass boiler, by hot water and combustion fumes.

Screening system

The dried wood chips discharged from the dryer, is conveyed to the sifter equipped by the screen with small square holes in order to separate small particles from chips cleaning it from bark, sand and silica residuals. It allows reducing action of wearing pellet mill spare parts and to reduce dark pellet color.

Pelleting system

The dried material discharged from the dryer, is conveyed to the hammer mill to standardize and adapt the size of the raw material to the extrusion process. The pellet mill loaded by the storage silo for dried material duly grounded, produces the wood pellets by a suitable die with holes of 6 mm diameter (at the user’s choice), thanks to the layered compaction of the sawdust into the holes of the die.

Storage system (bulk pellets)

The storage system consists of one or more silos receiving wood pellet from pelleting line by conveyors. The system is equipped with a sifter in order to clean wood pellet from dust before discharging it into truck tanks. Alternatively wood pellet can be returned to the packaging system for packing into bags or big-bags.

Bagging system (bagging and palletizing)

The bagging system consists in bagging the wood pellets produced into 15 kg bags for domestic use or in 1,000 kg big-bags each for industrial use, by means of suitable bagging scales. To finish the 15 kg bags for domestic use they are packaged on pallets duly wrapped in plastic film to avoid damage during transport and storage.

20 t/h wood pellet making line Process flow:

  1. Primary crushing: The raw materials of the 20t/h wood pellet making line project are purchased wood bran and waste wood. The waste wood needs to be crushed first due to its large size and unevenness. The project uses a forklift to crush this larger part of the raw material through the crusher. Become a smaller size (the size of the particles after primary crushing is about 2 cm, the moisture content of the project raw materials is about 10%, no need for air drying and drying);
  2. Screening: After primary crushing, the materials enter a simple screen for screening. Materials with larger particle sizes are screened and returned to the primary crushing process. Materials that pass the screening are subjected to secondary crushing.
  3. Secondary crushing: The screened raw materials are transported to the crusher through the conveyor belt and crushed into smaller size powder (crushed to a particle size of about 0.05 cm);

The thickness of the ring die is hot extruded. During the extrusion process, the material friction generates heat, which is about 50°C. The extruded material is cut into the required particle shape at the outlet of the wood pellet press.   5. Screening and packaging: The granulated wood pellets enter a simple screen for screening. The wood pellets that do not meet the requirements are returned to the secondary crushing process.   1. Chipping: Use a chipper to perform primary processing of raw wood chips, and chip the raw materials on the original basis to meet subsequent processing needs;
  2. Crushing: The particle size of the chipped raw material is still large and it is difficult to granulate. Use a crusher to further crush it to make it easier to process;
  3. Drying: The moisture content of raw wood chips is about 40%, which is not conducive to subsequent processing. Use a dryer to dry it. The drying itself only produces a small amount of water vapor; the dryer uses biomass particles as fuel.
  4. Pelletizing: Use a belt conveyor to send the materials into the wood pellet machine for pelleting, shaping and granulation to make finished products. Rice husk is directly made into rice husk biomass pellet fuel through this process.

The project raw material crop straw is collected and stacked in the yard for later use. Various crop straws are manually fed into a crusher and crushed to a length of about 1cm, and then sent to a wood pellet mill machine via a conveyor belt for pressurization, densification and molding.

After simple packaging, they are put into storage for sale. The formed biomass fuel is small in size, has a large specific gravity, is resistant to combustion, and is easy to store and transport. Its volume is only equivalent to 1/30 of the same weight of straw.

  1. Raw materials come from qualified suppliers and are inspected and put into storage.
  2. The purchased raw materials are stored in the warehouse, and the wood is crushed according to the order quantity. The generated leftover materials (such as nails, plastics, paper scraps, etc.) are sold and disposed of outside. The coarse parts are then crushed and transported to the wood pelletizer machine in a sealed manner by conveyor belt conveyors and other equipment. The machine starts granulating; finally it enters the silo to be cooled and bagged for storage.
