Storage of raw materials
There are many states of raw materials and materials in feed, and various forms of silos must be used. The main raw materials, such as corn and sorghum, are mostly stored in silos. The auxiliary materials, such as bran, soybean meal and other powdered raw materials,, are stored in room-type silos.

Cleaning of raw materials
Impurities in feed raw materials not only affect the quality of feed products, but also directly affect the safety of feed processing equipment and personal safety. In severe cases, the entire equipment may be damaged, affecting the smooth progress of feed production, so they should be removed in time.

Pelleting section
The evenly tempered material is firstly removed by installing a magnet, and then evenly distributed between the pressing roller and the pressing die. In this way, the material enters the ring die pellet machine from the feeding zone and the pressing zone, and is clamped into the die hole by the pressing roller for continuous pelleting to form a columnar feed. As the pressing die rotates, it is cut into granular feed by the cutter fixed outside the pressing die.

The moisture content of the pellet feed reaches 16%~18% when it just comes out of the pellet mill, and the temperature is as high as 75~85℃. Under such conditions, the pellet feed is easy to deform and break, and it will also become sticky and moldy during storage. The moisture content must be reduced to below 12% and the temperature must be reduced to no more than 8℃ above the air temperature, which requires cooling.

In order to save electricity, increase production and improve quality, the material is often first made into pellets of a certain size, and then crumbled into qualified products by a crumbler according to the pellet size when used for livestock and poultry feeding. After crumbling, some powder clots and other materials that do not meet the requirements will be produced. Therefore, the pellet feed needs to be screened into products with neat particles and uniform size.
