RICHI Machinery has delivered a specialized 3 T/H air filtration pellet production line to a chemical manufacturer in Ulsan, South Korea. The plant produces structured activated carbon composite pellets impregnated with potassium iodide for heavy metal capture in industrial air scrubbers.
The proprietary process combines coconut-shell activated carbon powder with ceramic binders through RICHI’s dual-stage conditioning and extrusion systems. Each pellet undergoes precision grading to achieve uniform gas flow characteristics crucial for filtration efficiency.
The project included a comprehensive R&D phase where RICHI engineers developed custom die configurations to achieve optimal pore structure. The pellets are now supplied to semiconductor manufacturing facilities across East Asia, representing a technological breakthrough in high-value industrial pellet applications.
