In Punjab, India, RICHI Machinery has delivered a groundbreaking 10 T/H cow dung organic fertilizer production line that processes 300 tons of raw manure daily from cooperative dairy farms. The plant converts raw cattle waste into premium-grade organic fertilizer pellets through an integrated biodrying and precision pelleting system.
The facility features RICHI’s patented aerobic fermentation technology that reduces processing time from 60 days to just 14 days while maintaining nutrient integrity. The pelletizing line incorporates mineral enrichment stations adding rock phosphate and neem cake for pest-resistant properties, creating India’s first standardized organic fertilizer meeting EU and USDA certification standards.
The project has established a novel cooperative model where 2,500 small dairy farmers receive monthly payments for manure supply while purchasing finished pellets at 40% below market rates. This circular economy initiative is projected to replace chemical fertilizers across 50,000 hectares of farmland annually, setting new standards for agricultural sustainability in South Asia.
