Recently, news came from the Peru project that the expansion and renovation project of the Peru feed puffing production line undertaken by RICHI will be fully completed by the end of this year.

The client of this project is a joint-stock enterprise specializing in the production and operation of aquatic feed. The company covers an area of ​​5,700 square meters, produces and sells about 40,000 tons of feed annually, with an output value of US$20 million. After more than ten years of development, the company has become a well-known local aquatic feed company, and the fish feed produced by the client company has become a recognized brand product in the local and surrounding areas.

The total investment of this feed extrusion production line expansion project is US$420,000, adding 1 extruded fish feed production line and comprehensively upgrading and renovating the production workshop and factory building of about 5,500 square meters, and building a new comprehensive office building of 2,897.5 square meters.

The project started construction in March 2024. As of now, the aqua feed production line has been basically completed and equipment installation is underway; the main body of the comprehensive office building has been completed and the interior and exterior decoration is underway. It is expected to be fully completed in February 2025.

Due to the needs of enterprise development, the customer intends to use the existing production plant space, production lines and corresponding supporting facilities, introduce advanced production equipment, and carry out renovation and expansion to improve production capacity.

The reconstruction content of this project is as follows:

1. The original marine fish feed is a kind of puffed feed. In order to expand the scope of use of the product, the name of the original “marine fish feed” is changed to “puffed feed”.

Recently, RICHI Machinery and Peru customers signed an annual production of 60,000 tons of puffed soybean powder project. The total investment is US$900,000. The project uses imported soybeans as raw materials and adopts wet puffing technology. After the project is completed, it will produce 60,000 tons of puffed soybean powder for feed annually.

1. Production process of puffed soybeans
   The production process of puffed soybeans includes cleaning, crushing, pulverizing, tempering, puffing, cooling and other steps. First, the soybeans need to be cleaned to remove impurities, then broken into 4-8 petals, and then crushed into soybean powder that can pass through a certain aperture. Then, the soybean powder enters the conditioner for conditioning to improve the puffing effect. Finally, after the high temperature and high pressure treatment of the puffing machine, the soybean powder is puffed into puffed soybeans, and then packaged after cooling.
2. Factors affecting the yield of puffed soybeans
   The yield of puffed soybeans is affected by many factors. First, the variety and moisture content of soybeans will directly affect the puffing effect. Generally speaking, the lower the moisture content of soybeans, the higher the expansion rate during puffing, and the more puffed soybeans produced. 3. Nutritional value and application areas of puffed soybeans
   Puffed soybeans not only retain the nutrients of soybeans themselves, such as protein, fat, carbohydrates, etc., but also denature protein and gelatinize starch through high temperature and high pressure treatment, thereby improving digestibility. At the same time, puffed soybeans also have a strong oily aroma and good palatability, and are widely used in livestock and aquatic feeds. Especially in piglet feed, puffed soybeans can replace soybean meal and fish meal, prevent piglet diarrhea, and increase growth rate.
