The Egypt tofu cat litter production plant project uses the client’s existing factory building, with a total area of 3,600m2. This project mainly produces and processes pet cat litter. After reaching full capacity, it will produce 4,000 tons of cat litter per year. The project has a labor quota of 10 people, and implements a single-shift work system, with each shift working 8 hours and an annual working time of 300 days.

Construction content

The total area of this 1.5-2t/h cat litter pellet production line in Egypt project is 3,600m2, with a total construction area of 1,420m2. The existing factory building is used. Since the factory building has not been used for a long time, the ground in the yard is not hardened, and the house is damaged.

It is necessary to level and harden the factory land, repair the doors and windows of the house, repair the workshop floor and install equipment. The construction time is 1 month. The construction content mainly includes production workshops, offices and warehouses. The composition of the project is shown in the following table.

Public supporting

(1) Water supply

The production water of this 1.5-2t/h cat litter pellet production line in Egypt project is mainly used for cat litter production and batching. The water consumption of cat litter production and batching is 80L/ton of product.

The annual output of cat litter in this project is 4,000 tons, so the water consumption of batching is equivalent to 1.07m3/d and 320m3/a. 80% of the batching water is lost in the drying process, and 20% enters the product.

(2) Drainage

The drainage of the factory area implements the rainwater and sewage diversion system, and rainwater is discharged through the rainwater pipe network. The wastewater of this project is mainly domestic sewage.

The domestic sewage pollution coefficient is calculated as 0.8, so the amount of domestic sewage generated is 0.4m3/d and 120m3/a. The main pollutants are COD, ammonia nitrogen and total nitrogen, and their production concentrations are 350mg/L, 30mg/L and 45mg/L respectively. Domestic sewage is discharged into dry toilets for composting, which is regularly cleaned by local residents and used for farmland fertilization.

(3) Power supply

The power supply of this 1.5-2t/h cat litter pellet production line in Egypt project is drawn from the municipal power grid, and the power supply is sufficient to meet the needs of project construction and production.

The power equipment of this project mainly includes machinery and lighting equipment. The annual power consumption of this project is about 90,000 kW·h.

Cat litter production process design

Based on the customer’s raw material and process requirements, the cat litter production process we designed for the customer is as follows:

1. Various fiber raw materials, corn starch, water and other raw materials are transported by wind, sent to the mixer through the elevator (closed type) for mixing and stirring;
2. And then flow into the silo from the bottom outlet, and then transported to the cat litter pellet machine through the silo stirring cage to extrude into long strips of particles.
3. At this time, the particles are soft and contain water and do not produce floating dust. They are transported to the mesh belt dryer unit by the conveyor belt, cooled after drying and transported to the vibrating screen for screening.
4. Unqualified products are screened by the lower screen and recycled from the bottom outlet.
5. The finished particles are transported to the automatic packaging machine for packaging, and the production is completed.
