According to market research, the customer decided to invest 390,000 US dollars to build a biomass pellet fuel project with an annual output of 45,000 tons. It mainly collects straw raw materials from the surrounding area to press straw pellets.

Straw pellet fuel uses solid waste such as corn stalks, wheat straw, rice straw, sunflower seed shells, peanut shells, corn cobs, cotton stalks, soybean stalks, weeds, branches, leaves, sawdust, bark, tea seed shells, etc. as raw materials.

After crushing, pressurizing, densifying, and molding, it becomes a modern clean fuel in the shape of small stick-shaped solid particles. It is also an emerging biomass power generation fuel that can replace traditional coal.

Process description of this straw pellet factory in Russia project:

1. Raw materials

The raw materials of this project come from wheat straw, husks, corn stalks, etc. in the surrounding rural areas. The purchased baled straw is transported to the factory area and temporarily stored in the raw material warehouse in the project area.

The purchased bundled straw is sent to the workshop warehouse by loaders, forklifts, etc., and manually loaded and unloaded to the conveyor. The straw conveyor adopts a closed structure. Some raw materials with higher moisture content will be dried in the drying yard before use.

2. Crushing

Wheat straw and corn stalks are crushed by crushers. They can be granulated only after crushing. The raw materials after crushing are less than 5mm.

3. Pellet forming

The biomass fuel pellet machine is a key equipment of the straw biomass pellet production line. The biomass pellet making machine can be used for different raw materials such as rice and wheat straw, sawdust, corn straw, bean straw, cotton straw and peanut shells, and the equipment runs stably.

The density of the processed pellet fuel can reach 0.7-1.4 tons/cubic meter. The crushed material is sent to the elevator receiving hopper through a conveyor, and the material is sent to the feeder on the top of the pelletizing and briquetting machine through a bucket elevator.

The feeder evenly sends the material to the pelletizer, and the surface of the pellets produced is smooth and the hardness is moderate. Friction between the material and the roller and the template in the pelletizer can generate a lot of heat, which can heat the material to about 80-110℃, soften the lignin, and sterilize it.

4. Cooling

When the pelletizing and molding material is discharged, the temperature of the biomass pellet fuel is as high as 80-90℃, the structure is relatively loose, and it is easy to break. It must be cooled by the air cooling system and cooled to room temperature before it can be bagged and stored.

The pellets are sent to the cooler for cooling via a belt conveyor. The moving chain plate drives the pellets to move. There is an air inlet at the bottom and a fan at the top. The cooling is completed after 2-3 minutes. The cooling process is completed inside the biomass pellet machine. The pellet machine is closed and does not produce dust.

5. Packaging and warehousing

This design uses a packaging conveyor for metering and belt packaging, and sends it to the finished product warehouse.

(1) Water supply

The water consumption of this straw pellet factory in Russia project is 2415m3/a. The water source of this project comes from the local municipal water supply network, which is mainly used as a water source for production, life and fire emergency, and can fully meet the requirements of this project.

(2) Drainage

The drainage system of the factory area adopts a rainwater and sewage diversion system. Rainwater is discharged into the municipal engineering rainwater network nearby. This project does not generate production wastewater.

The wastewater is mainly domestic sewage of employees and canteen wastewater. The canteen wastewater generated by the project is pre-treated in the grease trap and then discharged into the underground sewage treatment facility together with domestic sewage for treatment. The drainage volume of this project is 1932m3/a.

(3) Power supply

The electricity used in this straw pellet factory in Russia project is supplied by the local substation, which outputs 380V production power and 220V office and life electricity.

(4) Fire protection

The fire protection design of the building of this straw pellet plant project is based on the “Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings”.
