In 2024, RICHI Machinery delivered and commissioned a large-scale soybean extrusion production line in India, designed for a processing capacity of 1,000 tons per day and an annual output of 300,000 tons of extruded full-fat soybean meal.
We are a professional manufacturer of feed equipment, pellet production systems, biomass pellet plants, organic fertilizer machinery, and cat litter production lines. This project demonstrates our ability to engineer and implement high-capacity extrusion systems adapted to local agricultural resources and regulatory standards.
The installation is located in Madhya Pradesh, one of India’s leading soybean-producing regions. The client is a vertically integrated agribusiness investor engaged in grain trading, oilseed aggregation, and feed ingredient distribution. To capture additional value from locally sourced soybeans, the client decided to invest in a soybean extrusion production line in India to supply protein-rich feed ingredients to poultry and livestock producers across northern and central India.
The project occupies 13,768.18 m² of the client’s own industrial land. Construction was completed within 12 months. The plant includes two parallel wet-type extrusion lines, designed for stable high-throughput operation under India’s climatic and raw material conditions.

Client Background and Investment Motivation
India is one of the world’s major soybean producers, especially in states such as Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. However, a large share of soybeans is exported as raw grain or processed only into oil and conventional soybean meal.
The client identified three strategic opportunities:

Production Process Description
This soybean extrusion production line in India adopts a wet extrusion process designed to reduce urease activity and destroy anti-nutritional factors.
1. Raw Soybean Unloading
Soybeans are unloaded into receiving pits and conveyed to silos.
2. Magnetic Separation
Permanent magnetic drums remove iron impurities.
3. Crushing
Twin-rotor hammer mills reduce particle size to optimize conditioning.
4. Conditioning
Steam at 115±5°C is injected.
Outlet material temperature: 90±5°C.
5. Wet Extrusion
Moisture: 12–16%
Temperature: 100–140°C
Effectively reduces trypsin inhibitor and urease activity.
6. Cooling & Drying
Material cooled from approx. 90°C to safe storage moisture.
7. Crumbling
Five-roller crumbler breaks agglomerates.
