After market research, the client, a Tanzanian agricultural company, decided to build a new biomass straw fuel pellet plant project. The project has been completed and put into production in April 2024 with a construction scale of 2500t/a.

The main engineering content of the construction period of this small straw pellet plant in Tanzania project is the construction of production workshops and equipment installation.

The new production workshop of the project is a steel structure building. The construction and equipment installation plan of the production workshop will take the steel pipes driven into the ground as the fixed foundation, and set up anti-seepage dry toilets for construction personnel to use. They will be cleaned regularly for agricultural fertilizer without discharge.

Description of the process flow of this small straw pellet plant in Tanzania project:

1. Transport and unpacking

After the collected raw materials are transported into the factory, they are unpacked and stored in the material yard. After the natural drying moisture content is below 10%, they are transported to the production workshop for crushing.

2. Crushing

The raw materials are crushed in the production workshop. The crusher is equipped with a bag dust collector. The production workshop is a closed workshop with enhanced ventilation. Most of the dust settles indoors. The crushed raw materials are less than 5mm.

3. Granulation

After crushing, they are transferred to the straw pellet machine. The straw biomass pelletizer is equipped with a bag dust collector. The principle of pelletization is the collision and extrusion between the material and the machine and between the materials. Through the action of mechanical pressure, the crushed materials are squeezed into regular, denser molded materials.

4. Cooling

The temperature of the biomass pellets at the pelletizer outlet is 80-90℃, and the biomass pellets are sent to the cooler for cooling through the conveyor.

5. Packaging and warehousing

After cooling, the biomass pellets are manually packaged and bulk stored. The products are transported to the warehouse for storage. The products are sold as soon as they are produced, and no large-scale storage is done.
