This is an 8t/h pig feed production line in Angola. The project covers a total area of 5,800 square meters and a total construction area of about 3,445 square meters. The business scope of the customer company is: “Processing: feed; Sales: feed, corn, agricultural products”. In April 2023, this Angolan customer invested 890,000 US dollars to build an annual production line of 60,000 tons of corn fine processing and 20,000 tons of poultry feed processing.
In this pig animal feed production line in Angola project, a full set of pig feed processing equipment and 2 1,000-ton corn silos are all provided by us. There are 12 employees in this project, with an annual production of 300 days, an 8-hour work system, and 1 shift per day. The construction period of this project is 3 months. The site of this project has been leveled, and the construction content during the construction period is the construction of steel structure workshops, equipment installation and a small amount of civil engineering.

Construction content and scale
This pig feed production line in Angola project mainly constructs a 3205m2 production workshop, 2 offices (located in the production workshop), 3 utility rooms (located in the production workshop), a 240m2 boiler room, 2 1000t silos, waste gas treatment measures, etc.
The functional divisions of the project’s general plan are boiler room, production workshop, packaging workshop, office area, and canteen from north to south. The dominant wind direction of the project site is southeast wind all year round. The office area and canteen are located on the south side of the side wind direction, which is less affected by the pollution of the factory area and has a more reasonable layout.

Public works
1. Power supply
The annual additional consumption is 300,000 kw.h/year, supplied by the municipal power grid.
2. Water supply
The pig feed production line in Angola project is supplied by the municipal water supply network, with an annual water consumption of 288m3;
3. Drainage
This project has no production wastewater. The domestic sewage is treated in a three-level septic tank and then entrusted to the sanitation company for cleaning, and is not discharged.
4. Gas supply
In the granulation section of feed production, steam is needed to heat and humidify the materials, and 500t of steam is required annually. This project is equipped with a 1 t/h natural gas boiler to provide steam for the production of this project. The boiler consumes about 192,000m³ of natural gas annually.

Project pig feed pellet production process design
This pig feed production line in Angola project produces two products, one is refined corn, which is made from corn raw materials after being carefully selected and impurities are removed and then packaged as refined corn products. In other words, corn refining mainly involves screening and removing impurities such as husks, broken cores, corn silk, and empty grains.
The other is pig feed, which is made into granular pig feed products from corn, soybean meal, premix, soybean oil and other raw materials through crushing, mixing, and granulation. Here, the corn refining process will not be elaborated, but only the processing flow of pig feed will be introduced in detail:
1. Raw material reception and storage
The raw materials for producing feed can be divided into two categories: main raw materials and auxiliary raw materials. The main raw materials are mainly bulk grain products such as corn, bran, and soybean meal, and the auxiliary raw materials refer to two small amounts of added substances, premix and soybean oil.
All the raw materials required for the production of this pig feed mill project are transported to the factory by car. After the transport vehicle enters the factory, it first undergoes quality inspection and weighing on the scale, and then goes to the feeding pit area. A bag dust collector is set up in the feeding pit area to prevent dust pollution. After the raw materials enter the feeding pit, they are transported to the bucket elevator by the scraper below, and then enter the crushing section after being lifted to a higher height.
2. Crushing section
Corn and soybean meal particles are too large to be used directly. They must be crushed by a crusher before they can be used to make pellet feed. The crusher is equipped with a bag dust collector and uses a micro-negative pressure operation, which can not only ensure the hygiene of the production environment, but also effectively improve the recovery rate of raw materials and reduce losses. The powdered raw materials from the crusher are transported by the bucket elevator to the batching bin for temporary storage.
3. Batching section
The metering of the batching section is a process of feeding and weighing different types of feed raw materials according to the preset feed formula requirements and using a specific batching metering system. If the auxiliary materials are not suitable for batching in the batching bin due to their small amount or their own characteristics, they can be manually put into the batching scale after being measured.
4. Mixing section
Mixing is an operation in which various feed raw materials are mixed with each other under the action of external forces after being metered and batched, so that they are evenly distributed. The mixing and stirring equipment is equipped with a bag dust collector and adopts a micro-negative pressure operation, which can not only ensure the sanitation of the production environment, but also effectively improve the recovery rate of raw materials and reduce losses.
5. Pelleting section
Granulation is the process of compacting the mixed powder and squeezing out the die hole to form granular feed by mechanical action. The purpose of granulation is to make fine, dusty, poorly palatable and difficult to transport feed into granular materials by using the heat, moisture and pressure in the granulation process.
After granulation, the density of the pig pellet feed will increase by 40% to 100%, and it can also avoid the automatic classification of feed ingredients, reduce environmental pollution, and kill bacteria in the feed raw materials. Compared with powdered feed, pellet feed can improve feed digestibility, reduce animal picky eating behavior, facilitate storage and reduce transportation costs.
The powdered raw materials in the pelleting bin enter the conditioner through the feeder at the bottom of the bin, and steam will also be introduced into the conditioner at the same time. After the raw materials come into contact with high-temperature steam, the temperature rises rapidly to 78-83℃, and the moisture content rises to about 16.5%. After the raw materials are tempered, they absorb the heat and moisture in the steam and become soft, which is conducive to granulation.
At the same time, after high-temperature treatment, most of the harmful microorganisms in the raw materials have been killed and the raw materials have been matured, which is conducive to reducing the incidence of animal diseases and improving the digestion and absorption rate of feed.
In the pig feed pellet machine, the powdered raw materials are mechanically extruded and become cylindrical feed. The feed has a high temperature and high moisture content and cannot be used as a final product. It needs to be cooled immediately. The cylindrical feed enters the countercurrent cooler and is cooled by air. The cooled feed enters the screening machine for screening. The feed with qualified particle size goes to the finished product warehouse, and the feed with too large and too small particle size is recycled.
6. Packaging section
Since the feed products of this pig livestock feed production line in Angola project are sold in bags, an automatic packaging line is planned.

Solid waste treatment of this project
The solid waste of this pig feed production line in Angola project mainly includes dust collected by the dust removal system of the production line, waste raw material packaging bags, employee domestic garbage, and corn selection impurities.
(1) Dust collection by the dust removal system of the production line
The dust generation of the production line of this project is 1.845t/a, and the dust removal efficiency of the dust removal system is 90%. The dust collection of the dust removal system is 1.661t/a, which is all recycled to the production line without discharge.
(2) Waste raw material packaging bags
About 9,500 tons of raw and auxiliary materials of this project are bagged, with packaging specifications of 25kg, 40kg, and 10kg. The annual waste packaging bags are 255,000, and the average weight of each packaging bag is about 100g, so the annual waste packaging bags are about 25.5t. Collect them uniformly and use them in a recycling company.
(3) Domestic waste
This pig feed production line in Angola project plans to employ 12 employees, and the waste generation coefficient is 0.5kg/person.d, so the domestic waste generation is about 1.8t/a. Domestic waste is collected uniformly and handed over to the sanitation department for disposal.
(4) Corn refining and winnowing impurities
In this project, the impurities contained in corn raw materials are mainly corn cobs, corn silk, husks, mud and sand brought by corn threshing, accounting for about 1%. This project has a total of 70,000 tons of raw corn, so the amount of impurities removed by winnowing is about 700t/a. This type of waste is collected and handed over to the sanitation department for treatment.

Prospects of building a pig feed production line in Angola
The prospects for starting pig feed pellet production line in Angola are relatively optimistic, but several key factors need to be noted.
First, the market demand is large. The demand for high-quality pig feed in the Angolan pig farming industry is increasing, especially in the high-yield and efficient breeding model, where high-quality feed is a key factor in ensuring the healthy growth of pigs. In addition, the Angolan government has strong support for the agricultural sector, especially the grain and breeding industries, and the government provides land and other support, which provides a good external environment for feed processing.
