Cat Litter Pellet Mill Line In Russia

This project is invested by a Russian agricultural company. In order to further meet the market demand for tofu cat litter, the client company invested 160,000 US dollars to purchase 14 feeders, dryers, hot air furnaces, mixers and related supporting equipment to implement the tofu cat litter processing project. After the project is completed, it is expected to have an annual processing capacity of 10,000 tons of tofu cat litter.

Tofu cat litter is an object used by cat owners to bury feces and urine for their cats. It has good water absorption and is generally used together with a cat litter box (or cat toilet). Pour an appropriate amount of cat litter into the cat litter box. When trained cats need to defecate, they will walk into the cat litter box and poop on it.

The cat litter pellet mill line in Russia project uses 1,500m2 of idle factory buildings. The raw material warehouse is located in the northwest corner of the workshop, the hazardous solid waste warehouse is located in the southwest corner, and the general solid waste warehouse is located in the southeast corner. This project has 10 employees, 300 days of production per year, a one-shift work system, and 2,400 hours of annual work.

This cat litter pellet mill line in Russia project is a new construction project, which uses the existing idle factory building of 1500m2 to build a project with an annual production capacity of 10,000 tons of tofu cat litter.

The raw materials and solid waste of this project are stored in the warehouse divided in the factory building, and temporarily stored in the finished product workshop. Cat litter is an object used by cat owners to bury feces and urine. It has good water absorption and is generally used together with a cat litter box (or cat toilet). Capacity matching analysis:

The main equipment of this project is a pelletizer, which operates 8 hours per day, 3 shifts, and 300 days per year. It can produce 1.5 tons of pellets per hour, and 10,800 tons of pellets per year, which can meet the demand for 10,000 tons of tofu cat litter per year.

The tofu cat litter production process adopted by this cat litter pellet mill line in Russia project is as follows:

(1) Feeding, drying, and separation

The purchased tofu fiber (soy dregs, with a water content of 25%) is transported to the dryer through a feeder for drying. The drying process uses a hot air furnace to burn natural gas to provide a heat source. The hot air enters the dryer and forms a strong rotating wind field driven by the blower. When the material enters the closed dryer, under the strong action of the high-speed rotating stirring paddle, the material is dispersed by impact, friction and shear force. The block material is quickly dispersed, directly contacted with the hot air, heated, and dried. The dehydrated dry material rises with the hot air flow and is collected by the cyclone dust collector.

The wet or large pieces of material are thrown to the wall of the device by centrifugal force, fall to the bottom and recirculate for drying. The generated dust is collected and discharged after being collected by the bag dust collector. The drying process is completely closed, and the collected tofu fiber ((soy dregs, water content 10%)) is transported to the mixer through a closed pipe.

(2) Feeding and stirring

During the feeding and stirring process, corn starch (water content 10%), wheat starch (water content 10%) and water will be added through a screw conveyor in a certain proportion. The raw materials are fully mixed and stirred in the closed mixer (the water content of the mixture is 15%). After stirring, the semi-finished product is transported to the granulator through a closed conveyor belt.

(3) Granulation

The cat litter granulator is fully closed during operation. The material is extruded in the cat litter pellet machine and the segmented product is cut out by the ring hole. After the pelletizing machine is completed, the semi-finished product is transported to the electric oven drying process through a closed conveyor unit.

(4) Drying

Since the raw materials themselves contain a certain amount of moisture, in order to meet the product quality requirements, the semi-finished tofu cat litter pellets after granulation need to be dried. The moisture content of the tofu cat litter pellets before drying is about 15%. After drying, the tofu cat litter is in the shape of long strips with a moisture content of about 7% to 10%. This cat litter pellet mill line in Russia project uses a hot air furnace to burn natural gas to provide heat source for drying. The drying temperature is 100℃~110℃ and the drying time is about 10 to 15 minutes.

(5) Screening and packaging

The screening machine is a closed structure. After the cat litter enters the screening machine, it is divided into qualified products and unqualified products according to its own shape. The screening process is carried out in the closed screening machine. The material moves with the vibration of the vibrating screen into the packaging process. The qualified products are packaged by the packaging machine and put into storage for sale. The finished tofu cat litter is in the shape of long strips with a moisture content of about 7%~10%.

① Water supply

The cat litter pellet mill line in Russia project is supplied by the local municipal water supply network, and the fresh water consumption is 650t/a.

② Drainage

The drainage of the plant area implements the “rainwater and sewage separation” system. The project has no production wastewater, and the domestic sewage is pre-treated in the septic tank and then fertilized.

③ Power supply

The project power consumption is 130,200 kW·h/a, which is provided by the local municipal power grid, and photovoltaic power generation has been installed on the roof of the factory building. The power supply is reliable and can meet the needs of this project.

④ Natural gas

The cat litter pellet mill line in Russia project hot air furnace uses natural gas combustion for heating, which is provided by the local gas company pipeline, which can meet the needs of this project.

(1) Waste gas:

The drying and separation process of this cat litter pellet mill line in Russia project adopts a cyclone dust removal device to separate The tofu fibers (soy dregs) that have not been separated are collected and disposed of by bag dust removal, and the tail gas is discharged through the 15m exhaust pipe DA001; the hot air furnace tail gas is discharged through the 15m exhaust pipe DA002; the waste gas from feeding, drying, screening and packaging is collected by the gas collection hood and treated by the bag dust removal device and then discharged through the 15m exhaust pipe DA003.

(2) Wastewater:

The project adds 120t/a of domestic sewage, which is treated in a septic tank (20m3) and then used to fertilize the fields.

(3) Solid waste:

General solid waste generated during the operation of the project is collected in the factory and entrusted for disposal; hazardous waste is entrusted to a qualified third party for disposal.
