British Columbia’s largest wood pellet producer has partnered with RICHI Machinery to install a 15 T/H sawdust pellet manufacturing plant, increasing their total capacity by 60%. The facility processes mixed softwood sawmill residues into EN Plus A1-grade heating pellets for European residential markets.
The project features RICHI’s MZLH768 super-heavy-duty pellet mills equipped with tungsten-carbide reinforced ring dies for processing abrasive conifer species. Advanced dryer technology utilizing biomass-fired thermal oil systems ensures 40% lower carbon emissions compared to conventional gas drying.
Notably, the installation was completed during the region’s harsh winter through prefabricated modular construction. The expansion solidifies Canada’s position as a global wood pellet leader while demonstrating RICHI’s capability to execute complex projects in challenging climates.
