This is a biomass pellet factory in Brazil project. The client is a biomass energy company from Brazil. In April 2024, it invested 390,000 US dollars to build a high-purity biomass fuel pellet project with an annual output of 30,000 tons using the existing site of 3,868m2.
The project mainly produces biomass fuel pellets. The equipment purchased by the client includes 4 sets of biomass pellet mill equipment, 1 set of weighing scales, 1 slicer, 2 crushers, 2 biomass dryers, etc.
In order to ensure the high combustion value and non-coking characteristics of the project products and satisfy users, this project strictly controls the source of raw materials and ensures the quality of raw materials.
The biomass pellet factory in Brazil project only recycles waste wood generated by the rough processing of wood in various wood yards and furniture factories, waste wood damaged by various packaging companies and transportation companies, branches cleared from greening and trees (leaves have been cleared), and straw dried at the project site. Raw materials containing impurities such as spray paint, glue, metal, and cement are not recycled.
The annual electricity consumption of the project is 300,000 kWh, mainly for mechanical equipment and lighting, which is supplied by the local Power Supply Station to meet the power demand of the project.
The biomass pellet plant in Brazil project has a labor quota of 9 people, none of whom are accommodated in the factory area. The project production time adopts a one-shift work system, each shift works 8 hours, and the annual working time is 300 days.

This biomass pellet factory in Brazil project has 1 production workshop, 1 warehouse, and 1 office building.
The production workshop is located on the northeast side of the factory area, the warehouse is located on the southeast side of the factory area, and the office building is located on the west side of the factory area; the production workshop is from west to east, followed by feeding, crushing, screening, crushing, drying, granulation, cooling, and packaging processes; the project layout is smooth, and each part is compact and reasonable.
This biomass fuel pellet plant project covers an area of 3,868 square meters and a total construction area of 1,450 square meters. The details of the project buildings are shown in the table below.

Process design of Brazilian biomass pellet production line project
Brief description of the process flow of this biomass pellet factory in Brazil project:
① Loading
Buy bundled waste wood, branches, and briquetted straw, which are transported into the factory by car and stored in the warehouse; during production, the waste wood, branches, and straw are poured into the crusher hopper by a forklift.
② Crushing
The crusher is used to crush waste wood, branches, and straw into small pieces.
③ Screening
A screen is provided under the crusher. Fine materials with a particle size of less than 5mm pass through the screen and enter the closed belt conveyor. Materials with a particle size of more than 5mm continue to be crushed.
④ Crushing
The screened fine materials are transported to the crusher through a closed belt conveyor and crushed into fine materials with a size of less than 30 mesh.
⑤ Drying
The crushed material is sent to the biomass dryer for drying via a closed belt conveyor. The drying method of this biomass pellet manufacturing plant project is direct drying. The hot air generated by the natural gas hot air furnace enters the drying drum to dry the material.
The drying temperature is 90℃ and the drying time is 10min, so that the moisture content of the material is reduced to below 10%.
⑥ Granulation
The dried material is conveyed to the hopper of the biomass granulator by a closed belt conveyor. The material enters the granulator granule chamber through the hopper and is pressed by a mold to obtain biomass pellets that meet the length and density requirements.
⑦ Cooling
The granulated material is conveyed to the finished product silo by a closed belt conveyor for natural cooling to room temperature.
⑧ Packaging
The cooled material is conveyed to the packaging machine by a closed belt conveyor for packaging. The packaging specifications are 25kg/bag or 1 ton/bag and are stored for sale.
