5T/H Bamboo Pellet Production Line in Malaysia
The client of this 5t/h bamboo pellet production line in Malaysia project is a bamboo processing enterprise, and the waste bamboo chips, sawdust and wood scraps generated by bamboo processing are good raw materials for biomass pellets.
The client seized the market opportunity to promote the local economy, revitalize the idle factory area, increase employment and income of nearby residents, and make full use of the abundant waste bamboo chips, sawdust and wood scraps generated by the local bamboo and wood industry processing.
The existing idle factory land (no raw and auxiliary materials exist in the factory) is used to carry out the construction of the “30,000 tons of biomass pellet processing project per year”.

RICHI MACHINERY
Raw and auxiliary materials and energy consumption
This 5t/h bamboo pellet production line in Malaysia project mainly collects waste bamboo chips, sawdust, wood scraps, etc. generated by the local bamboo and wood industry for the manufacture of biomass pellets. The raw materials do not contain debris such as mud and sand, and no sorting is required.
Serial number | Name | Annual consumption | Maximum storage capacity | Source |
1 | Waste bamboo chips, sawdust, wood scraps | 35000t/a | 500t/a | Waste bamboo, sawdust (particle size less than 15mm), wood scraps generated by bamboo and wood industry in surrounding areas, with a moisture content of about 30% |
2 | Biological | 300t/a | 100t/a | The products produced by the project are used as fuel for the hot blast furnace of the project |
3 | Lubricating oil | 0.05t/a | 0.05t/a | Equipment repair and maintenance |
4 | Electricity | 50,000KWh/a | / | / |
- The raw materials of this Malaysia bamboo pellet plant project are prohibited from coming from home decoration and demolition waste, and must not contain toxic and harmful substances such as paint and glue.
- The construction scale of this biomass pellet production line project produces 30,000 tons of material particles per year. According to production experience, it is necessary to use about 35,000 tons of waste bamboo chips and sawdust per year. Due to various factors such as rain and the dryness and wetness of the raw materials, there is about 30% moisture, which will evaporate during the drying process, thereby reducing the moisture content of the product.

RICHI MACHINERY
Design of 5T/H bamboo pellet production process
The main production process of this 5t/h bamboo pellet production line in Malaysia project is as follows:
1
Raw material unloading and transfer:
The purchased raw materials are transported to the raw material warehouse in the factory by car. During production and processing, the raw materials are shoveled to the crushing workshop by a forklift, and the height is controlled at about 1.5m. Since the raw materials are mainly bamboo chips, wood chips, and wood scraps, the moisture content is high and the dust generation is small.
In order to ensure that there is no visible dust escape during the unloading and transfer of raw materials, the raw material unloading must be carried out in the raw material warehouse, and the material shall not be unloaded in the open air. It is strictly forbidden for the material to exceed the bucket box plate.
In windy weather, the raw materials shall be stopped from being shoveled to the crushing workshop or the bucket shall be covered with tarpaulin to prevent dust from escaping. At the same time, the transfer route and the dust on the ground in the workshop shall be cleaned regularly to keep the ground clean.
2
Chipping:
Since the purchased raw materials contain large-diameter raw materials such as scraps, they need to be crushed into smaller block materials by a crusher. First, the raw materials are poured into the hopper with a forklift, and the height is controlled at about 1.5m.
3
Crushing and screening:
The crushed raw materials are conveyed to the hammer mill crusher through a closed conveyor belt for closed crushing. The crushed raw materials are screened by a screening machine to make the particle size less than 8mm. The raw materials that do not meet the requirements of granulation are returned for crushing, and those that meet the requirements enter the drying process.
4
Drying:
The qualified raw materials after crushing are conveyed to the drying furnace through a closed conveyor belt for drying. The drying heat source is provided by the biomass hot air furnace. The hot air furnace of this project is a direct hot air furnace (the hot air of biomass directly contacts and heats the material).
The drying temperature is about 95~110℃ and the drying time is about 10min. The dried raw materials are conveyed to the semi-finished product silo through a closed conveyor belt for temporary storage and cooling at the same time. The fuel used for drying is self-produced molded biomass fuel bamboo pellets.
5
Granulation:
The raw materials after cooling in the semi-finished product silo are conveyed to the bamboo pellet machine through a closed conveyor belt and extruded into finished products.
The pelletizing process is a physical process, without adding any adhesives, no chemical reaction, and no heating is required during the granulation process. The molded biomass pellets are temporarily stored in the finished product warehouse through a belt conveyor.
6
Finished product packaging:
The pressed bamboo pellets are bagged and ready for sale.
