RICHI Machinery has partnered with New Zealand’s leading agricultural consortium to establish a 6 T/H sheep manure organic fertilizer pellet plant in Canterbury. The facility processes pelletized sheep waste from free-range farms into premium organic fertilizer specifically formulated for the country’s lucrative kiwifruit and wine grape industries.
The production system features RICHI’s gentle thermal processing technology that preserves beneficial microorganisms while eliminating pathogens. A unique pellet coating system applies marine-sourced biostimulants and trace minerals, creating region-specific formulations for different soil types across New Zealand’s growing regions.
The plant’s innovative odor-control system utilizes indigenous fern extracts, making it the country’s first urban-edge organic processing facility with zero odor complaints. With 80% of production pre-sold to organic vineyard and orchard operators under five-year contracts, this project demonstrates how specialized pellet engineering can create premium agricultural inputs for high-value export markets.
