Rice Husk Pellet Mill Plant In Indonesia

Rice Husk Pellet Mill Plant In Indonesia

This is a 6t/h rice husk pellet mill plant in Indonesia project.

Indonesia is one of the largest agricultural countries in the world, with a wide rice planting area and an annual rice production of more than 50 million tons. More than 10 million tons of rice husk waste is generated by rice processing each year. For a long time, most of these rice husks have been burned in the open air or dumped at will, causing air pollution, land waste and resource loss.

At the same time, Indonesia has been accelerating its energy structure transformation in recent years, trying to get rid of its dependence on fossil energy and actively promote the development of renewable energy and green energy. Biomass fuel, especially pellet fuel derived from agricultural waste, has become a new energy solution that has attracted much attention under the dual drive of policy and market.

In this context, an agricultural group in Central Java Province, Indonesia, invested in the construction of a 6 t/h, 15,000 t/a rice husk pellet production line, using a large amount of local cheap rice husk resources for large-scale, clean and standardized energy conversion. The project not only serves the local agricultural drying and industrial heating markets, but also plans to export to countries with strong demand for biomass pellets such as Japan and South Korea.

The biomass pellet fuel produced by this rice husk pellet mill plant in Indonesia project is a solid fuel extruded from rice husks. It is easy to store, transport, and use. It does not contain any harmful additives, has high combustion efficiency, and is clean and environmentally friendly. It can be used for civilian purposes and can replace coal as an industrial boiler fuel.

The rice mill operated by this customer can provide a large amount of husk raw materials for production in this project. After the project is completed and put into production, it will solve the problem of recycling husk waste, increase employment opportunities, protect the environment, and promote local economic development.

The project has an investment of US$210,000. After completion, it will form a rice husk biomass pellet production line project with an annual output of 15,000 tons. This project has 5 production employees, one shift, 8 hours per shift, and 300 working days per year. No food and accommodation are provided.

1. The company has a stable rice processing industry chain with sufficient raw material sources

The client is a large agricultural group in Indonesia that integrates planting, storage and processing. Its rice processing plant produces tens of thousands of tons of rice husks every year. Long-term stacking not only occupies the site, but also brings safety hazards and environmental pressure. Investing in a rice husk pellet mill plant in Indonesia is the most direct way to turn waste into resources.

2. Pellet fuel can be used as a clean alternative energy for agricultural drying systems and industrial boilers

Rice husk pellets have the advantages of high combustion value, low ash content and low cost, and are a very potential agricultural and industrial fuel. The client plans to use part of the pellet fuel for its own use, for heating grain drying equipment and boilers to reduce energy costs; the other part will be sold to the external market to increase revenue.

3. Actively respond to the Indonesian government’s advocacy policy on the resource utilization of agricultural waste

The Indonesian government has introduced a number of policies to support the comprehensive utilization of agricultural by-products, including tax exemptions, equipment import support, and biomass energy subsidies. The client hopes to use the policy dividends to promote the group’s green transformation and enhance the company’s brand image in the fields of green agriculture and clean energy.

4. Great export market potential, with foreign trade capabilities and port transportation advantages

The Central Java Province where the client is located is close to the Semarang Port and has good export convenience. Indonesian rice husk pellets are competitive in markets such as Japan, South Korea, and Taiwan due to their low price, high quality, and green and clean characteristics. This project does not purchase transportation vehicles for raw materials and products. The transportation of raw materials and products is the responsibility of a third-party company.

The production process of this rice husk pellet mill plant in Indonesia project is relatively simple, and all processes are physical processes.

(1) Raw materials

The raw materials of this rice husk pellet plant project are transported by car to the raw material yard for standby, and a certain amount of dust is generated during the transportation of raw materials.

(2) Granulation

The husks in the raw material yard are transported to the granulation equipment through a sealed auger. The principle of the rice husk biomass pellet mill is that the fine material is rolled and extruded by rollers, and the husks are deformed and extruded into granules under high pressure without adding any additives.

The husk raw materials of this project do not need to be crushed, and can be directly put into the granulator for granulation. The granulation raw material is only husks, and no additives are added.

(3) Packaging

The temperature of pressed biomass pellets is generally 40-50℃. They need to be cooled when packaged. The finished pellets are transported to the finished product yard by conveyor belt for natural cooling and packaging after cooling. The packaging process of this project is manual packaging.

The raw materials used in this rice husk pellet mill plant in Indonesia project are all dried rice husks with a moisture content of about 8%. This project does not use drying process for raw materials. The formed biomass fuel is small in volume, heavy in specific gravity, resistant to combustion, and easy to store and transport.

(1) Power supply

The power supply of this project relies on the existing project and is powered by a 400kw/h transformer in the factory.

(2) Water supply

This project does not require water during the production process. Domestic water is mainly used by employees. The water relies on the existing project and comes from municipal water.

Domestic water: The biomass pellet plant project has a staff of 5 people and the annual working time is about 300 days. The daily water consumption of each employee of this project is about 80L, and the domestic water consumption is 0.4m3/d (120m3/a).

Production water: No water is required during the production process of this project.

(3) Drainage

The drainage of this rice husk pellet mill plant in Indonesia project adopts a rainwater and sewage diversion system. No production wastewater is generated during the production process. Domestic sewage is currently treated in a single septic tank. After rectification, domestic sewage will be treated in a three-level septic tank and used for fertilizing vegetable fields.

Domestic sewage: If the domestic sewage discharge coefficient is 0.8, the domestic sewage discharge volume is 0.32m3/d (96m3/a).

Production wastewater: No production wastewater is generated during the production process, and no production wastewater is discharged.

Based on the process design, we have configured complete environmental protection measures and equipment for customers:

(1) Pelletizing dust

Compressed rice husk pellets dust: According to the on-site investigation, the rice husks in the raw material yard are transported to the granulation equipment by a sealed auger. The principle of the granulation equipment is that the fine material is rolled and squeezed by rollers. The rice husks are deformed and squeezed into granules under high pressure. There is a small amount of dust formed by particles in the granulation equipment.

The dust generated in this part is calculated as 0.01% of the raw material consumption. The raw material consumption in the pelletizing process is 15,000 tons, so the annual dust generation is 1.5t/a. The pelletizing equipment is closed during production.

Each rice husk pellet machine is equipped with a set of cyclone dust collector with a processing efficiency of 80% + bag dust removal system with a processing efficiency of 95% for negative pressure collection and treatment. The processing efficiency can reach 99%, so the dust emission of the pelletizing process is 0.015t/a.

(2) Water vapor

Water vapor is the water evaporated from the raw materials due to high temperature and high pressure in the pelletizing process. The moisture content of the raw materials of this rice husk pellet mill plant in Indonesia project does not exceed 8%, and the moisture content of the finished product is 7.82%.

The water vapor generated in this biomass fuel pellet plant project is about 29.05t/a. The water vapor generated is small, and the water vapor naturally diffuses as the biomass pellets are transported from the pellet machine to the finished product area.
