The cat litter pellet machine plant in Argentina project is built using a standardized plant with four floors above ground. The first floor is the bentonite cat litter production line, the second floor is the tofu cat litter production line, the third floor is the spare equipment and sundries storage warehouse, and the fourth floor is the raw material starch, fiber and flavor storage warehouse. The project has a labor quota of 10 people, working 300 days a year, 2 shifts a day, and 8 hours per shift.

The cat litter pellet machine plant in Argentina project covers an area of 2200m2 and a construction area of 8800m2. The project will build 2 tofu cat litter production lines and 1 bentonite cat litter production line. The project will not have a canteen or dormitory.

(1) Water supply:

The water used in this cat litter pellet machine plant in Argentina project comes from the local water supply network. The project water mainly includes production water and domestic water.

① Production water:

In the production process of bentonite cat litter, the raw materials are mixed with water. The ratio of raw materials to water is 100:1. The project bentonite consumption is 20,000 tons, so the water consumption is 200 tons/year; in the production process of tofu cat litter, the essence is diluted with water. The ratio of essence to water is 1:10. The project essence uses 1,200L, so the essence ratio water consumption is 12t/a. After calculation, the total production water consumption of the project is 212t/a.

② Domestic water:

The total labor quota of the project is 10 people. The living water consumption of employees is calculated as 50L per person per day, and the water consumption is 0.5t/d (150t/a). In summary, the total water consumption of the project is 362t/a.

(2) Drainage:

The drainage of this project adopts rainwater and sewage diversion. The project does not generate any production wastewater. The domestic sewage discharge coefficient is calculated as 80%. The domestic sewage generation is 0.4t/d (120t/a). The domestic sewage generated by the project is discharged into the local sewage treatment plant for treatment.

(3) Power supply:

The power supply of this project is supplied by the power grid, and the annual power consumption is 50,000 kw·h.

(4) Natural gas consumption:

The natural gas used for mesh belt dryer in this cat litter pellet machine plant in Argentina project is supplied by the local gas pipeline, and the annual natural gas consumption is 150t/a.

Process design of the cat litter pellet machine plant in Argentina project

(1) Bentonite cat litter production process

The raw materials used in the production of bentonite cat litter in this cat litter pellet machine plant in Argentina project are mainly bentonite and water.

Bentonite is transported to the factory by car. A bentonite storage silo is set up on the second floor of the factory building. The raw materials are packed in ton bags. The ton bags are lifted by an overhead crane, and the bentonite is transported from the ton bags to the storage silo through a pipeline.

The bentonite cat litter production line is located on the first floor. The raw materials are transported to the mixing granulator through the pipeline from the bottom discharge port of the discharge bin. A small amount of water needs to be added during the mixing process. The ratio of raw materials to water is 100:1. Water is added and stirred to make granules.

After granulation, it is transported to the dryer through a closed bucket elevator. The heat source of the dryer is natural gas. The drying process is directly heated by natural gas combustion. The drying temperature is 280℃ and the drying time is 0.5h. After drying, the natural gas is turned off for natural cooling for 1h.

After cooling, it is sent to the screening machine through a belt conveyor for particle size screening. The screening machine has a total of four screens. The first screen is for powdered waste, the fourth is for waste with a particle size greater than 4mm, and the second and third screens are finished products with particle sizes less than 2mm and 2~4mm respectively. After the waste is collected, it is returned to the bentonite manufacturer for processing and reuse.

The finished products of the two particle sizes are transported to the finished product storage bin by belt conveyors, and then transported to the automatic packaging machine by belt conveyors for packaging. After packaging, they are sold.

(2) Tofu cat litter production process

The raw materials for the tofu cat litter production of this cat litter pellet machine plant in Argentina project are mainly starch, fiber, flavor and water. The raw materials (except water) are transported to the factory by car. The starch and fiber are stored in bags on the fourth floor of the factory building, and the flavor is stored in barrels on the fourth floor of the factory building.

The tofu cat litter production line is located on the second floor. The raw starch and fiber are transported to the mixer by a spiral conveyor. The flavor and water are mixed in proportion (flavor: water = 1:10) and then pumped into the mixer by a self-priming pump. The raw materials are mixed in the mixer.

The mixed material is sent to the cat litter granulator (diameter 2mm) by bucket elevator for cat litter particle cutting. The cut material is transported to the belt dryer by elevator. The heat source of this drying process is electricity, the drying temperature is 70℃, the drying time is 2h, and it is naturally cooled after drying for 0.5h.

The dried and cooled material is sent to the silo by belt conveyor, and the silo outlet is connected to the belt conveyor. The material is sent to the screening machine by belt conveyor; the part above the sieve is the finished product and is transported to the automatic packaging machine by belt for packaging and sale. The waste powder under the sieve is collected and returned to the raw material process for reuse.
