Overview
With the increasing demand in the fertilizer market and the development of industry, the shortage of water resources has become more and more serious. The treatment of water pollution has become indispensable.
In water treatment technology, water purifier plays an important role. In this context, the project customer, a biotechnology company from Malaysia, invested 120,000 US dollars to use vacant factory buildings to build an annual production line project of 2000t of biological organic fertilizer and 2000t of water purifier. The project covers an area of 610m2. This project is a new project.
The small organic fertilizer manufacturing plant in Malaysia project has 8 employees, one shift for 8 hours a day, no production at night, and an annual operation time of 300 days. This project does not have a canteen or dormitory.

Project composition
This small organic fertilizer manufacturing plant in Malaysia project uses vacant factory buildings with a total construction area of 610m2. After transformation, it is used for the production of biological organic fertilizers and water purifiers.
The construction content mainly includes production workshops (construction area of 300m2), raw material storage areas (construction area of 80m2), finished product storage areas (construction area of 80m2), and metering rooms (construction area of 24m2), and supporting environmental protection, water supply, power supply and other projects.
The overall shape of the factory building of this project is rectangular. The entrance and exit of the factory area is located on the east side, close to the road. The raw material storage room, production workshop, and metering room are arranged from north to south in the west of the factory area, and the finished product storage area and hazardous waste temporary storage room are arranged in the east of the factory area.

Physical and chemical properties of raw and auxiliary materials of water purifier:
- Magnesium chloride: bagged yellow-brown powder, chemical formula MgCl2, easy to absorb moisture, easily soluble in water and alcohol, non-flammable, melting point 709°, boiling point 1412°, decomposition temperature about 110°, relative density 2.235. It can be used to make purifiers to quickly flocculate and precipitate suspended matter in water without secondary pollution.
- Magnesium sulfate: bagged white crystals, chemical formula MgSO4, easily soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, glycerol, ether, insoluble in acetone, non-flammable, melting point 1124°, relative density 2.66, irritating. It can be used to make purifiers to quickly flocculate and precipitate suspended matter in water without secondary pollution.
- Ferrous chloride: bagged yellow-green crystals, irritating and corrosive. Ferrous chloride has a unique decolorization ability and is suitable for wastewater treatment in dye intermediates, printing and dyeing, and papermaking industries. It can simplify the water treatment process, shorten the water treatment cycle, and reduce the cost of water treatment; it has obvious treatment effects on various types of sewage, electroplating, leather, and papermaking wastewater, and the removal rate of various heavy metal ions in wastewater and sewage is close to 100%; the treatment cost is low, and it is an ideal agent for sewage treatment.
- Ferrous sulfate: bagged blue-green monoclinic crystal, odorless, soluble in water, almost insoluble in ethanol, non-flammable relative density (d15) 1.897, irritating, melting point 64°. Ferrous sulfate can be used for flocculation and purification of water, as well as removal of phosphates from urban and industrial sewage to prevent eutrophication of water bodies.
- Decolorizer: barreled colorless and transparent liquid, as a water-soluble cationic polymer, it has the advantages of high positive charge density, good water solubility, easy to control molecular weight, high efficiency and non-toxicity, low cost, etc. It can be used for decolorization, flocculation and purification in the water treatment process. The maximum storage capacity of the decolorizer for this project is 10t.
Physical and chemical properties of raw and auxiliary materials of biological organic fertilizers:
- Potassium humate: It is a short carbon chain molecular structure substance extracted from natural humic acid through biological fermentation with plant residue as raw material. It is used in agriculture and horticulture industries and has the following benefits: prevention and control of plant diseases, enhanced waterlogging resistance; stimulating plant microbial activity; slow-release fertilizer, improved fertilizer and pesticide utilization; improved nutrient absorption, promoted plant germination and growth; accelerated precipitation and decomposition, improved soil structure.
- Amino acids: Agricultural amino acids, in bagged crystal form, are a highly efficient amino acid nutrient solution directional concentrated extract. There are mainly 18 free amino acids, including 9 essential amino acids, with a content of about 25%, and a total content of about 45.1% of various amino acids. It also contains 18.2% of organic and inorganic nitrogen, about 0.5% of phosphorus, and 2.2%-4% of potassium (three necessary elements for crops) required by crops, which has long-term and short-term nitrogen and potassium supplementation effects on crop growth.
- Urea: It is an organic compound composed of carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, and hydrogen, and is a white crystal. As a neutral fertilizer, urea is suitable for all kinds of soils and plants. It is easy to store, easy to use, and has little destructive effect on the soil. It is currently a chemical nitrogen fertilizer with a large usage.
- Potassium dihydrogen phosphate: It is used as a high-efficiency phosphorus-potassium compound fertilizer in agriculture; potassium dihydrogen phosphate products are widely used in almost all types of crops, such as various types of cash crops, grains, fruits, vegetables, etc., with many excellent effects such as significantly increasing production and income, improving quantity and optimizing quality, resisting lodging, resisting diseases and pests, and preventing premature aging. It also has the effect of overcoming the nutritional deficiencies caused by the decline in the absorption capacity of the root system due to aging in the late stage of crop growth.
- Potassium sulfate: Potassium sulfate has low hygroscopicity, is not easy to clump, has good physical properties, is easy to apply, and is a good water-soluble potassium fertilizer. Potassium sulfate is particularly suitable for cash crops that are afraid of chlorine and like potassium, such as tobacco, grapes, beets, tea trees, potatoes, flax and various fruit trees.

This small organic fertilizer manufacturing plant in Malaysia project uses the existing factory building, and the construction period is 2 months. The project construction period is mainly for the installation of production equipment and environmental protection equipment. According to the customer’s needs, RICHI Engineering designed the process flow for the customer as follows:
Brief description of the biological organic fertilizer production process:
- Potassium humate (powder), amino acid (crystal), urea (crystal), potassium dihydrogen phosphate (crystal), potassium sulfate (crystal) are manually measured and put into the hopper manually, and then transported to the high-speed mixer (closed type) through a tubular screw conveyor.
- After the materials are sheared and mixed evenly in the high-speed mixer, they are transported to the automatic weighing and packaging machine (closed type) through a tubular screw conveyor.
- The weighed and packaged products are manually inspected for packaging, and the well-packaged products are placed in the finished product storage area.
Brief description of water purifier production process:
- Magnesium chloride (powder), magnesium sulfate (crystal), ferrous chloride (crystal), ferrous sulfate (crystal) and decolorizer (liquid) are manually weighed and put into the hopper, and then transported to the high-speed mixer (closed type) through a tubular screw conveyor.
- After the materials are sheared and mixed evenly in the high-speed mixer, they are transported to the automatic weighing and packaging machine (closed type) through a tubular screw conveyor.
- The packaged products are weighed and manually inspected, and the well-packaged products are placed in the finished product storage area.
All process flows of this small organic fertilizer manufacturing plant in Malaysia project are carried out at room temperature, without the need for heating and drying. There is no chemical reaction between the materials. When the two products are exchanged for production, there is no need to use water to clean the equipment.
When the upstream product residue does not exceed 10% during the exchange production, there is no impact on the production quality of the downstream products, because the properties of all raw materials in the biological organic fertilizer are suitable for the auxiliary function of the water purifier product, such as potassium humate, phosphate, sulfate, etc.
Amino acids, urea, etc. are necessary substances for the cultivation and treatment of nitrifying bacteria in sewage during the process of purifying water quality. On the other hand, the residual materials of water purifier (no more than 10%) contain nitrogen elements and magnesium, iron, sulfur, chlorine and other substances required by fertilizers.
Therefore, in the production design of this process, as long as the residual of different upstream and downstream products is controlled, the exchange production will not affect the quality of each product.

The total construction area of the small organic fertilizer manufacturing plant in Malaysia project is 610m2. The overall plant is rectangular. The entrance and exit of the plant are located on the east side, close to the road. The raw material storage room, production workshop, and metering room are arranged from north to south in the west of the plant.
The finished product storage area and the hazardous waste temporary storage room are arranged in the east of the plant, which is convenient for solid waste collection and transportation. The functional divisions in the site are clear, which is convenient for production and management.
