RICHI Machinery has delivered Northern Europe’s largest dedicated straw pellet plant in Jutland, Denmark, with a 25 T/H capacity processing wheat and barley residues. The facility supplies standardized straw pellets to Denmark’s rapidly expanding district heating network, replacing imported wood pellets.

The production line features RICHI’s specialized straw pre-treatment technology including silica reduction systems and advanced fiber softening units. The plant’s integrated torrefaction module creates two product streams: premium heating pellets for residential use and industrial-grade bioenergy pellets for power plants.

Located adjacent to Denmark’s largest agricultural cooperative, the plant processes 200,000 tons of straw annually from within a 50-kilometer radius, creating Europe’s most localized industrial biomass supply chain. The project has generated 85 permanent rural jobs while providing farmers with stable additional income from previously undervalued agricultural residues.
