RICHI Machinery has established Malaysia’s first integrated biomass pellet manufacturing complex in Sabah, featuring parallel production lines for palm EFB (12 T/H), wood residues (8 T/H), and rice husk (6 T/H). The $1.1 million facility serves both domestic energy markets and international biofuel trade.
The plant implements adaptive processing technology allowing quick changeover between different biomass types within two hours. RICHI’s proprietary moisture equalization systems handle Southeast Asia’s high-humidity conditions, while specialized anti-fungal treatments ensure pellet stability during tropical storage and shipping.
Strategic positioning near Sabah’s deep-water port enables direct loading onto Panamax-class vessels for export to Japan and South Korea. The project has catalyzed development of Malaysia’s biomass industry standards while creating 120 skilled technical jobs in renewable energy manufacturing.
